==Stage career== Donat made his first stage appearance in 1921, at the age of 16, with [[Henry Baynton]]'s company at the Prince of Wales Theatre, [[Birmingham]], playing Lucius in ''[[Julius Caesar (play)|Julius Caesar]]''.
