==Geography==
Ridgeway is located in southern Henry County at {{coord|36|34|45|N|79|51|36|W|type:city}} (36.579148, &minus;79.860078).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> [[U.S. Route 220]] passes through the west side of the town, leading north {{convert|8|mi|0}} to Martinsville and {{convert|59|mi}} to [[Roanoke, Virginia|Roanoke]]; and south {{convert|40|mi}} to [[Greensboro, North Carolina]]. [[Virginia State Route 87]] passes through the center of Ridgeway and leads southeast {{convert|8|mi|0}} to [[Eden, North Carolina]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], Ridgeway has a total area of {{convert|2.5|sqkm|order=flip}}, all  land.<ref name="Census 2010"/> The north side of Ridgeway drains via Marrowbone Creek and Reds Creek to the [[Smith River (Virginia)|Smith River]], a tributary of the [[Dan River (Virginia)|Dan River]], while the south side of town drains to Matrimony Creek, also a tributary of the Dan River.
