According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the borough had an area of 2.16 square miles (5.58&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>), including 1.75 square miles (4.52&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of land and 0.41 square miles (1.06&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of water (18.98%).<ref name=CensusArea/><ref name=GR1 />

Red Bank is on the southern bank of the [[Navesink River]] in northern Monmouth County, New Jersey. It is about {{convert|24|mi|km}} due south of the tip of [[Manhattan]] and about {{convert|25|nmi|km}} to the tip of Manhattan if traveling by water along the Navesink River and through [[Raritan Bay]].
