==Geography== [[File:Atlas Negative Collection Image (21660724196).jpg|thumb|left|An [[Atlas (rocket family)|Atlas rocket]] passing through Reardan to a nearby silo in 1961]] According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|0.50|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which, {{convert|0.49|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is land and {{convert|0.01|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is water.<ref name ="Gazetteer ">{{cite web|title=US Gazetteer 2010|url=https://www.census.gov/geo/www/gazetteer//Gaz_places_national.txt|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=December 19, 2012}}</ref> [[U.S. Route 2 in Washington|U.S. Route 2]] runs through Reardan, where it is also known as Broadway Avenue and serves as the town's main street. The highway connects Reardan with [[Spokane, Washington|Spokane]], the region's big city, 22 miles to the east, and [[Davenport, Washington|Davenport]], the county seat, 13 miles to the west. [[Washington State Route 231]], a north–south route, also runs through the town. The lake and surrounding wetlands also drain into [[Deep Creek (Washington)|Deep Creek]],<ref name="WARCO"/> which empties into the Spokane roughly 16 miles as the crow flies northeast of the lake. Spring Creek also rises from the Audubon Lake wetlands and flows north into the Spokane River just downstream from [[Long Lake Dam]]. State Route 231 follows Spring Creek north from town.
