Archeological digs at [[Tunas Peak]] uncovered [[Prehistory|prehistoric]] [[hunter-gatherer]] artifacts. Fourteen clusters of stones interpreted as wickiup and [[tipi ring]]s indicate human habitation. A ring [[midden]] in the camp provided a radiocarbon date of 1300 AD.
