The next largest towns in the municipal unit are Loutrá (pop. 1,339), Pámfila (1,264), and Mória (1,237). The [[Greek National Road 36]] connects Mytilene with [[Kalloni]]. Farmlands surround Mytilene, the mountains cover the west and to the north.
