Monroeville has nine borders, including [[Plum, Pennsylvania|Plum]] to the north, [[Murrysville, Pennsylvania|Murrysville]] in Westmoreland County to the east, [[Penn Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania|Penn Township]] in Westmoreland County to the southeast, [[Trafford, Pennsylvania|Trafford]] in Westmoreland County to the south, [[North Versailles Township, Pennsylvania|North Versailles]], [[Wilmerding, Pennsylvania|Wilmerding]] and [[Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania|Turtle Creek]] to the southwest, [[Wilkins Township, Pennsylvania|Wilkins Township]] to the west, and [[Penn Hills Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania|Penn Hills]] to the northwest.  Also, the borough of [[Pitcairn, Pennsylvania|Pitcairn]] is entirely situated inside Monroeville in the south-southwest area.
