According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|2.0|sqkm|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.02|sqkm|order=flip|2}}, or 0.90%, are water.<ref name="Census 2010"/> The town lies on a ridge between Meadow Brook to the northwest and tributaries of Molly Booth Run to the southeast. It is part of the watershed of the [[North Fork Shenandoah River|North Fork]] of the [[Shenandoah River]].
