==Geography==
Meltham also includes the small village of [[Helme, West Yorkshire|Helme]] which has its own school and church. Meltham is situated within close reach of several major cities. [[Bradford]] is {{convert|14|mi}} to the north, [[Leeds]] is {{convert|19|mi}} north-east, [[Manchester]] is {{convert|19|mi}} to the south-west and [[Sheffield]] is {{convert|21|mi}} to the south-east.
