Matinicus Isle plantation is an [[archipelago]] located on the southeastern fringes of [[Penobscot Bay]] in the [[Gulf of Maine]], part of the [[Atlantic Ocean]]. The shoreline consists of rocky [[cove]]s and sandy [[beach]]es.
