===Manchester United (1988–1991)=== Bosnich was born and raised in [[Liverpool, New South Wales|Liverpool, southwestern Sydney]]. His [[Croats|Croatian]] immigrant father was born in [[Blato, Korčula|Blato]], [[Korčula]], [[Croatia]], and migrated to Sydney in 1959 and his mother is [[Croatian Australians|Australian-born]] to Croatian immigrants. He attended Casula Primary School and later Liverpool Boys High School.During this period, he played cricket for Prestons Cricket Club, and would have played against Jason Taylor, who played at this time for Mount Pritchard Cricket Club. {{citation needed|date=February 2011}} Bosnich played for [[Sydney United FC|Sydney Croatia]] youth team before moving to England. In 1989, at the age of 17, he joined [[Manchester United F.C.|Manchester United]] on a non-contract basis and made his debut for them in a [[Football League First Division|First Division]] fixture against [[Wimbledon F.C.|Wimbledon]] on 30 April 1990. He only played two more games for Manchester United before his registration with the club was cancelled on 30 June 1991. Bosnich had been in England using a student visa and when this expired in July 1991, he then returned to [[Sydney United FC|Sydney Croatia]] briefly in the [[1991–92 National Soccer League|1991–92]] season.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.ozfootball.net/ark/Players/B/BOS.html |title=Australian Player Database |publisher= ozfootball.net |access-date=7 August 2011 }}</ref> He returned to England signing for [[Aston Villa F.C.|Aston Villa]] on a free transfer on 28 February 1992.
