==Geography==
Laguna Heights is located in eastern Cameron County at {{coord|26|4|48|N|97|15|22|W|type:city}} (26.080060, -97.256172),<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> on the south shore of [[Laguna Madre (United States)|Laguna Madre]], a large lagoon connected to the Gulf of Mexico. The CDP is bordered to the south and east by the city of [[Port Isabel, Texas|Port Isabel]] and to the west by the town of [[Laguna Vista, Texas|Laguna Vista]]. [[Texas State Highway 100]] passes through Laguna Heights, leading eastward {{convert|3|mi|0}} to the center of Port Isabel and {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[South Padre Island, Texas|South Padre Island]], and westward {{convert|21|mi}} to [[Interstate 69E]] between [[Harlingen, Texas|Harlingen]] and [[Brownsville, Texas|Brownsville]].
