==Geography== Keeseville is located at {{coord|44|30|13|N|73|28|52|W|type:city}} (44.503688, -73.481087),<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> south of [[Plattsburgh (city), New York|Plattsburgh]], just west of [[Lake Champlain]], within the [[Adirondack Park]]. The [[Ausable River (New York)|Ausable River]], forming the boundary between Clinton and Essex counties, flows through the village. The northern half of the hamlet is within the Town of Au Sable in Clinton County, while the southern half is in the Town of Chesterfield in Essex County. north of the hamlet, the Ausable River forms a deep, {{convert|2|mi|km}} long [[gorge]], [[Ausable Chasm]], which is also a popular tourist attraction.<ref name=awf>{{cite news|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=sWx1AgAAQBAJ&dq=Ausable+Chasm%2C+New+York&pg=PA41 |title=AuSable Chasm|work=Amazing Adirondack Wonders|publisher=Adirondack Wilderness Foundation|date=2011|isbn=9781458364159}}</ref> According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the village has a total area of {{convert|3.2|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|3.0|km2|order=flip}} is land and {{convert|0.1|sqkm|order=flip|2}}, or 4.47%, is water. Keeseville is at the junction of [[U.S. Route 9 in New York|US Route 9]], [[New York State Route 22]] and [[New York State Route 9N]], as well as Essex County Roads 15, 16, and 17. [[Interstate 87 (New York)|Interstate 87]], the Northway, passes west of the village, with access from Exit 34 (NY 9N).
