==Geography== Honeoye Falls is located at {{Coord|42|57|23|N|77|35|14|W|type:city}} (42.956331, β77.587353)<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> on the falls of [[Honeoye Creek]]. It is in southeastern [[Monroe County, New York|Monroe County]], along the southern edge of the town of [[Mendon, New York|Mendon]]. It is bordered to the south by the town of [[Lima, New York|Lima]] in [[Livingston County, New York|Livingston]]. The city of [[Rochester, New York|Rochester]] is {{convert|15|mi}} to the north. [[New York State Route 65]] passes through the village center along Ontario Street and North Main Street. Route 65 leads north {{convert|14|mi}} to its terminus at [[New York State Route 96|Route 96]] in [[Brighton, Monroe County, New York|Brighton]], and southeast {{convert|4.5|mi|1}} to [[U.S. Route 20]] in [[West Bloomfield, New York|West Bloomfield]]. According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the village of Honeoye Falls has a total area of {{convert|2.60|sqmi|2}}, of which {{convert|0.05|sqmi|2}}, or 2.00%, are water. Honeoye Creek is a north- and west-flowing tributary of the [[Genesee River]] and rises {{convert|13|mi}} to the south at the outlet of [[Honeoye Lake]], one of the smaller [[Finger Lakes]] of New York.
