==Geography==
Hendron is located at {{coord|37|2|16|N|88|38|42|W|type:city}} (37.037800, -88.644889)<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> and borders the southern edge of the city of Paducah. The original community of Hendron is in the northeast part of the CDP at Old Mayfield Road,<ref>{{Cite web| url=http://mapper.acme.com/?ll=37.03949,-88.62954&z=14&t=U&marker0=37.03949%2C-88.62954%2C5.5%20km%20SxSW%20of%20Paducah%20KY| title=Hendron KY| work=ACME Mapper - USA Topo| access-date=May 9, 2023}}</ref> north of where it crosses [[Interstate 24]]. Hendron is bordered to the west by the CDP of [[Massac, Kentucky|Massac]], and the unincorporated community of [[Lone Oak, Kentucky|Lone Oak]] along US 45 is split between the two CDPs.

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the Hendron CDP has a total area of {{convert|5.37|sqmi|2}}, of which {{convert|0.02|sqmi|2}}, or 0.41%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/>
