The village is located near [[Chicago]] in an area known as the [[Chicago Southland]] and is approximately {{convert|25|mi|km}} south of the [[Chicago Loop]].

The village is bordered by [[Markham, Illinois|Markham]] to the north, [[Harvey, Illinois|Harvey]] to the northeast, [[East Hazel Crest, Illinois|East Hazel Crest]] to the east, [[Homewood, Illinois|Homewood]] to the southeast, [[Flossmoor, Illinois|Flossmoor]] to the south and [[Country Club Hills, Illinois|Country Club Hills]] to the west.
