==Geography== Hardeeville is located south of the center of Jasper County at {{coord|32|17|2|N|81|4|43|W|type:city}} (32.283850, -81.078496).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the city had a total area of {{convert|117.25|km2|order=flip}} in 2010, of which {{convert|116.97|sqkm|order=flip}} were land and {{convert|0.28|sqkm|order=flip|2}}, or 0.24%, were water.<ref name="Census 2010"/> Nearly 90 percent of the city limits was annexed between 2000 and 2010, primarily to accommodate large, planned development communities located on former lands devoted to logging and timber harvesting. The city is located on the [[Atlantic coastal plain]], with very few variations in elevation. The average elevation of the city is approximately {{convert|20|ft|m}} above [[mean sea level]].
