== Geography == According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the county has a total area of {{convert|460|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|455|sqmi}} is land and {{convert|5.7|sqmi}} (1.2%) is water.<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> The bulk of Grady County, centered on [[Cairo, Georgia|Cairo]], is located on the Upper [[Ochlockonee River]] sub-basin of the larger Ochlockonee River basin. The county's northwestern corner is located in the Lower [[Flint River (Georgia)|Flint River]] sub-basin of the [[ACF River Basin]] (Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin). Grady County's western border, from [[Whigham, Georgia|Whigham]] south, and all of its southern border, is located in the Lower [[Ochlockonee River]] sub-basin of the same Ochlockonee River basin.
