==Geography==
Fulda is in southeastern Murray County, surrounded by [[Bondin Township, Murray County, Minnesota|Bondin Township]]. [[U.S. Route 59#Minnesota|U.S. Highway 59]] runs along the eastern border of the city, leading northwest {{convert|13|mi}} to [[Slayton, Minnesota|Slayton]], the Murray [[county seat]], and south {{convert|17|mi}} to [[Worthington, Minnesota|Worthington]]. [[Minnesota State Highway 62 (Murray–Cottonwood counties)|Minnesota State Highway 62]] has its western terminus at US 59 in Fulda and leads east {{convert|25|mi}} to [[Windom, Minnesota|Windom]].

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], Fulda has an area of {{convert|1.09|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|1.01|sqmi|sqkm|2}} are land and {{convert|0.08|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, or 6.99%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> The city is on the north end of Fulda Lake and is in the watershed of the [[Des Moines River]].
