==Geography==
Frankton is located in northern Madison County. [[Indiana State Road 128]] passes through the center of town, leading east {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[Indiana State Road 9]] and west {{convert|4|mi|0}} to [[Indiana State Road 13|State Road 13]]. [[Anderson, Indiana|Anderson]], the [[county seat]], is {{convert|12|mi}} to the south, [[Elwood, Indiana|Elwood]] is {{convert|7|mi|0}} to the northwest, and [[Alexandria, Indiana|Alexandria]] is {{convert|8|mi|0}} to the northeast.

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], Frankton has a total area of {{convert|1.06|sqmi|2}}, all of it recorded as land.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> [[Pipe Creek (White River tributary)|Pipe Creek]] crosses the northern part of the town, flowing southwest toward the [[White River (Indiana)|White River]] at [[Perkinsville, Indiana|Perkinsville]].
