==Geography== Eva is located in southeastern Morgan County at {{coord|34|19|31|N|86|44|52|W|type:city}} (34.325209, -86.747722).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> Its southern border touches the border with [[Cullman County, Alabama|Cullman County]]. It is {{convert|15|mi}} southeast of [[Hartselle, Alabama|Hartselle]] and {{convert|28|mi}} south-southeast of [[Decatur, Alabama|Decatur]], the Morgan [[county seat]]. [[Cullman, Alabama|Cullman]] is {{convert|13|mi}} to the southwest, and [[Arab, Alabama|Arab]] is {{convert|18|mi}} to the east. According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the town of Eva has a total area of {{convert|4.3|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|0.03|sqmi|2}}, or 0.74%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2021"/> The town center, at an elevation of {{convert|1105|ft}} above sea level, is just north of the [[Tennessee Valley Divide]]. The town drains west toward [[Flint Creek (Alabama)|Flint Creek]] and east toward Cotaco Creek, both of which are north-flowing tributaries of the [[Tennessee River]]. The southernmost parts of town drain south to Eightmile Creek, a tributary of the [[Broglen River]] and part of the [[Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River]] watershed.
