===2000 census===
At the [[2000 United States Census|2000 census]] there were 199 people, 77 households, and 55 families in the town. The population density was {{convert|302.9|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 88 housing units at an average density of {{convert|134.0|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. Of the 77 households 31.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.4% were married couples living together, 18.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.3% were non-families. 23.4% of households were one person and 9.1% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.07.

The age distribution was 26.1% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 32.7% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% 65 or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females, there were 89.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.6 males.

The median household income was $29,792 and the median family income  was $32,500. Males had a median income of $30,179 versus $23,333 for females. The per capita income for the town was $13,533. About 11.7% of families and 20.5% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 15.0% of those under the age of eighteen and 31.0% of those sixty five or over.
