Dorff is a fellow of the [[Hastings Center]], a research institution that studies issues in bioethics.{{citation needed|date=February 2020}} His book on [[Jewish medical ethics]] is ''Matters of Life and Death: A Jewish Approach to Modern Medical Ethics''.
