Ghana's industrial base is relatively advanced. [[Import substitution industrialization|Import-substitution industries]] include [[electronics]] manufacturing. [[Ghana]] began its automotive industry with the construction of a [[prototype]] robust [[sport utility vehicle|SUV]], named the [[Suame Magazine, Kumasi#SMATI Turtle 1|SMATI Turtle 1]], intended for use in the rough African [[terrain]]. It was designed and manufactured by the [[Suame Magazine, Kumasi|Artisans of Suame Magazine]] Industrial Development Organization.
