==Geography== Donna is located in southern Texas at {{Coord|26|10|13|N|98|2|57|W|type:city}} (26.170336, –98.049037).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> It is bordered on the east by the city of [[Weslaco, Texas|Weslaco]] and on the west by [[Alamo, Texas|Alamo]]. The southern boundary of Donna is a few miles north of the [[Rio Grande]], the international border between the [[United States]] and [[Mexico]]. [[Interstate 2]]/[[U.S. Route 83 in Texas|U.S. Highway 83]] pass through the northern side of the city, leading west {{convert|11|mi}} to [[McAllen, Texas|McAllen]] and east {{convert|23|mi}} to [[Harlingen, Texas|Harlingen]]. Via McAllen it is {{convert|244|mi}} south of [[San Antonio]]. Hooks Avenue is the main road through the center of Donna.
