==Geography== Deering is in northwestern Hillsborough County, bordered by [[Hillsborough, New Hampshire|Hillsborough]] and [[Henniker, New Hampshire|Henniker]] to the north, [[Weare, New Hampshire|Weare]] to the east, [[Francestown, New Hampshire|Francestown]] to the south, [[Bennington, New Hampshire|Bennington]] to the southwest, and [[Antrim, New Hampshire|Antrim]] to the west. According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|80.9|km2|disp=flip}}, of which {{convert|79.2|km2|order=flip}} are land and {{convert|1.7|km2|order=flip}} are water, comprising 2.05% of the town.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2021"/> The highest point in Deering is Clark Summit, just west of the center of town, at {{convert|1570|ft|m}} above sea level.
