The [[firth]] is designated as a [[Special Protection Area]] for wildlife conservation purposes. Many [[bottlenose dolphin]]s, [[harbour porpoise]]s, [[grey seal]]s and [[harbour seal]]s live here, while [[minke whale]]s seasonally migrate.
