==Geography== According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|22.38|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|22.18|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is land and {{convert|0.20|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is water.<ref name ="Gazetteer files">{{cite web|title=US Gazetteer files 2010|url=https://www.census.gov/geo/maps-data/data/gazetteer2010.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=December 16, 2012}}</ref> Cornish is drained by the [[Ossipee River]] and the [[Saco River]]. The town's highest point is Clark Mountain,<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=6722|title=Clark Mountain, Maine|access-date=October 30, 2015|publisher=Peakbagger.com}}</ref> 1,320+ feet (402+ m) above sea level. It is also York County's highest point. The second highest point in the town and county is Hosac Mountain,<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=6723|title=Hosac Mountain, Maine|access-date=October 30, 2015|publisher=Peakbagger.com}}</ref> 1,320 feet (402 m), often mistaken as the highest point in York County. The town is crossed by state routes [[Maine State Route 5|5]], [[Maine State Route 25|25]] and [[Maine State Route 160|160]]. Cornish borders the towns of [[Hiram, Maine|Hiram]] to the north, [[Baldwin, Maine|Baldwin]] to the northeast, [[Limington, Maine|Limington]] to the east, [[Limerick, Maine|Limerick]] to the south, and [[Parsonsfield, Maine|Parsonsfield]] to the west.
