==Geography==
Corning is located in western Clay County {{convert|2|mi|0}} west of the [[Black River (Arkansas)|Black River]]. [[U.S. Route 62 in Arkansas|U.S. Route 62]] passes through the city, leading east {{convert|25|mi}} to [[Piggott, Arkansas|Piggott]] and southwest {{convert|26|mi}} to [[Pocahontas, Arkansas|Pocahontas]]. The topography of Corning is flat, having previously been marshland.
