==Geography== [[File:Cocoa Beach pier FLAUSA.jpg|thumb|right|Cocoa Beach Pier, built in 1962, extends into the Atlantic Ocean]] According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the city has a total area of {{convert|15.0|sqmi|km2}}. {{convert|4.9|sqmi|km2}} of it is land and {{convert|10.1|sqmi|km2}} of it (67.49%) is water. Bordering the city on the north is [[Cape Canaveral, Florida|Cape Canaveral]]; on the south is [[Crescent Beach, Brevard County, Florida|Crescent Beach]]; on the east is the [[Atlantic Ocean]] ({{convert|5.6|mi|km|disp=or|abbr=on}} of oceanfront); on the west is the [[Banana River]].
