==Geography==
Chickasha is located west of the center of Grady County and is {{convert|42|mi}} southwest of [[Oklahoma City]],<ref name = "EOHC-Chickasha"/> which is accessible via [[Interstate 44 in Oklahoma|Interstate 44]] (the [[H. E. Bailey Turnpike]]). I-44 passes through the southeast side of the city, with access from Exits 80 and 83, and leads southwest {{convert|47|mi}} to [[Lawton, Oklahoma|Lawton]]. [[U.S. Route 62 in Oklahoma|U.S. Route 62]] runs through the city as Choctaw Avenue, leading east and then northeast {{convert|18|mi}} to [[Blanchard, Oklahoma|Blanchard]] and west 18 miles to [[Anadarko, Oklahoma|Anadarko]]. [[U.S. Route 81 in Oklahoma|U.S. Route 81]] passes through the city center, leading south {{convert|40|mi}} to [[Duncan, Oklahoma|Duncan]] and north {{convert|35|mi}} to [[El Reno, Oklahoma|El Reno]]. [[U.S. Route 277 in Oklahoma|U.S. Route 277]] enters Chickasha from the south with US 81 and leaves to the east with US 62.

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the city has a total area of {{convert|57.2|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.1|km2|order=flip|2}}, or 0.22%, is water.<ref name="Census 2010"/> The [[Washita River]] flows through the northern end of the city, then turns south and forms part of the city's eastern border.
