==Geography== Biscoe is in eastern Montgomery County. [[Special routes of U.S. Route 220#Candor–Seagrove alternate route|U.S. Route 220 Alternate]] and North Carolina Highways [[North Carolina Highway 24|24]] and [[North Carolina Highway 27|27]] cross in the center of town. US 220 Alt leads north {{convert|13|mi}} to [[Seagrove, North Carolina|Seagrove]] and south {{convert|5|mi|0}} to [[Candor, North Carolina|Candor]]. Highways 24 and 27 together lead west {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[Troy, North Carolina|Troy]] (the Montgomery [[county seat]]) and {{convert|28|mi}} to [[Albemarle, North Carolina|Albemarle]], and east {{convert|23|mi}} to [[Carthage, North Carolina|Carthage]]. The [[Interstate 73]]/[[Interstate 74]]/[[U.S. Route 220]] freeway passes through the east side of Biscoe, with access from Exit 49 (NC 24/27); the freeway leads north {{Convert|26|mi}} to [[Asheboro, North Carolina|Asheboro]] and south {{convert|32|mi}} to [[Rockingham, North Carolina|Rockingham]]. According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the town of Biscoe has a total area of {{convert|2.9|sqmi|1}}, all land.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2024"/> The town sits on a ridge which drains west to tributaries of the [[Little River (Pee Dee River tributary)|Little River]], part of the [[Pee Dee River]] watershed, and east to Lick Creek, part of the [[Deep River (North Carolina)|Deep River]] watershed leading to the [[Cape Fear River]].
