==Geography== [[File:View of Center Barnstead, NH.jpg|thumb|left|[[Center Barnstead, New Hampshire|Center Barnstead]] in 1909]] According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|116.4|sqkm|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|111.5|km2|abbr=on|order=flip}} are land and {{convert|4.9|km2|abbr=on|order=flip}} are water, comprising 4.2% of the town.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2020"/> The highest point in Barnstead is {{convert|1190|ft|m}} above [[sea level]] along the town's northern border, near the community of Locke's Corner. [[New Hampshire Route 126]] begins in Center Barnstead and travels southeast to [[Strafford, New Hampshire|Strafford]] and [[Barrington, New Hampshire|Barrington]].
