[[St. Louis, Missouri]], is {{convert|36|mi}} to the southwest.

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], Alhambra has a total area of {{convert|0.76|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|0.01|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, or 1.05%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> The village drains southwest to Silver Creek, a south-flowing tributary of the [[Kaskaskia River]].
