In Chilean rodeo, a team of two mounted men (called a {{Lang|es|collera}}) attempt to pin a calf against large cushions lining the arena (''[[medialuna]]''). Points are earned for proper technique. [[Chilean Horse]]s are employed to the exclusion of others and riders wear traditional ''[[huaso]]'' garb as a requirement. Chilean rodeo has experienced financial woes, lack of political support and poor promotion. Unlike other Chilean sports, rodeo does not receive any of the revenue from ''Chiledeportes'' because only sports that represent Chile overseas receive funds.
