===Asian democracy===
Professor Hussin Mutalib from the [[National University of Singapore]] (NUS) opines that the PAP has often set forth the idea of Asian democracy and values, drawing from a notion of [[Asian culture]] and [[Confucianism]] to construct ideological bulwarks against [[Western democracy]].
