The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is a [[Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies|nationally accredited]] U.S. law enforcement agency and acts as the enforcement arm of the courts in the county. All of its deputy sheriffs are fully [[Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission|certified]] law enforcement officials with full authority of arrest.
