==Goldstone report and vandalism of Lerner's home==
Lerner was one of a small group of Jewish leaders who supported [[Richard Goldstone|Judge Richard Goldstone]] after Goldstone released his [[Goldstone report|United Nations report]] that accused Israel and [[Hamas]] of [[war crimes]] and possible [[crimes against humanity]] during the winter 2009 [[Gaza War (2008–09)|Gaza War]].
