===Winter sports===
The [[Maribor Pohorje Ski Resort]], situated on the outskirts of the city on the slopes of the [[Pohorje]] mountain range, hosted the women's [[Slalom skiing|slalom]] and [[giant slalom]] races for the [[Alpine Skiing World Cup]].
