Some countries required that all published maps represent their national claims regarding [[border dispute]]s. For example:

* In Pakistan, the [[Surveying and Mapping (Amendment) Act, 2020]] made printing, displaying, or using any unofficial or "incorrect" map of Pakistan a crime punishable by 5 years in jail and a fine of 5 million [[Pakistani rupee|rupees]].
