Curtis married British-American filmmaker and actor [[Christopher Guest]] on December 18, 1984. She saw a picture of him from his film ''[[This Is Spinal Tap]]'' (1984) in ''[[Rolling Stone]]'' and told her friend [[Debra Hill]], "Oh, I'm going to marry that guy."
