The Isle of Dogs was the setting for the 1986 Channel 4 comedy-drama ''[[Prospects (TV series)|Prospects]]'' starring [[Gary Olsen]] and Brian Bovell.

While shooting in East London for his film ''[[Fantastic Mr. Fox (film)|Fantastic Mr. Fox]]'', [[Wes Anderson]] spotted a road sign directing to the Isle of Dogs.
