In the 2016 United States presidential election, Donald Trump was elected 45th President of the United States, defeating Hillary Clinton, and in 2017, he was sworn in as president. Between January 2020 and May 2022, the three North American nations were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and Delta cron hybrid variant, which claimed the lives of 1.3 million people by May 2022. In 2020, Joe Biden was elected 46th President of the United States, who defeated Donald Trump in 2020 presidential election, although Trump refused to concede the election, and on January 6, 2021, a group of his supporters stormed the United States Capitol in an unsuccessful effort to disrupt the presidential Electoral College vote count.
