=== Canton Fair===
The [[Canton Fair]], formally the "China Import and Export Fair", is held every year in April and October by the [[Ministry of Trade (China)|Ministry of Trade]]. Inaugurated in the spring of 1957, the fair is a major event for the city. It is the [[trade fair]] with the longest history, highest level, and largest scale in China.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.cantonfair.org.cn/en/about/index.shtml |title=Canton Fair Online |date=January 19, 2016 |access-date=January 19, 2016 |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160123155215/http://www.cantonfair.org.cn/en/about/index.shtml |archive-date=January 23, 2016}}</ref> From the 104th session onwards, the fair moved to the new [[Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center]] ({{lang|zh|{{linktext|广州|国际|会展|中心}}}}) in [[Pazhou]], from the older complex in Liuhua. The GICEC is served by two stations on [[Line 8 (Guangzhou Metro)|Line 8]], one station on [[Line 11 (Guangzhou Metro)|Line 11]] and three stations on [[Haizhu Tram|Tram Line THZ1]]. Since the 104th session, the Canton Fair has been arranged in three phases instead of two phases.
