===Higher education===
Dubuque is home to several [[higher education]] institutions. [[Loras College]] and [[Clarke University]] are two four-year colleges operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dubuque. [[Protestantism|Protestant]] colleges in the city include the [[University of Dubuque]], which is associated with the [[Presbyterian Church (USA)]], and [[Emmaus University]], connected with the [[Plymouth Brethren]] movement.
