As of March 2011, there were a total of 15,649 registered voters in Cranford Township, of which 4,887 (31.2% vs. 41.8% countywide) were registered as [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democrats]], 3,701 (23.7% vs. 15.3%) were registered as [[Republican Party (United States)|Republicans]] and 7,046 (45.0% vs. 42.9%) were registered as [[Unaffiliated (New Jersey)|Unaffiliated]].
