It continues southerly toward [[Traverse City, Michigan|Traverse City]] and [[Muskegon, Michigan|Muskegon]] and northerly toward [[Petoskey, Michigan|Petoskey]] to a terminus near [[Mackinaw City, Michigan|Mackinaw City]].
*{{jct|state=MI|M|66}} terminates at US 31 in Charlevoix and continues southerly through [[East Jordan, Michigan|East Jordan]] and [[Kalkaska, Michigan|Kalkaska]] en route to the southern part of the state.
