The fourth album of the pop punk band [[The Ataris]] was titled ''[[So Long, Astoria]]'' as an allusion to ''The Goonies''. A song of the same title is the album's first track. The pop punk band [[Marianas Trench (band)|Marianas Trench]] has an album titled ''[[Astoria (Marianas Trench album)|Astoria]]''. The band states the album was inspired by 1980s [[fantasy film|fantasy]] and [[adventure film|adventure]] films, and ''The Goonies'' in particular. Two [[United States Navy|U.S. Navy]] [[cruiser]]s were named USS ''Astoria'': A [[New Orleans-class cruiser|New Orleans-class]] [[USS Astoria (CA-34)|heavy cruiser (CA-34)]] and a [[Cleveland-class cruiser|Cleveland class]] [[USS Astoria (CL-90)|light cruiser (CL-90)]]. The former was lost in the Pacific Ocean in combat at the [[Battle of Savo Island]] in August 1942, during [[World War II]],<ref>{{cite book
