== Physical geography == [[File:Worcestershire Beacon.jpg|thumb|right|Summit of the [[Worcestershire Beacon]] in the [[Malvern Hills]], the county's highest point]] The [[Malvern Hills]], which run from the south of the county into Herefordshire, are made up mainly of [[volcanic]] [[igneous rock]]s and [[metamorphic rock]]s, some of which date from more than 1,200 million years ago. They are designated as an [[Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty]] (AONB).
