===Secondary schools===
There are several secondary schools in the area. [[Waterpark College]] was established in 1892 on the banks of the River Suir as Waterford's first classical school. It still provides a secondary education and has recently become a co-educational school.{{fact|date=August 2023}}  [[De La Salle College Waterford|De La Salle College]], a secondary school with 1,200 students and over 90 staff, is the biggest all-boys school in the county. [[Waterford College of Further Education]] previously called the Central Technical Institute (CTI), is a Post Leaving Certificate institute located on Parnell Street, Waterford city. [[South East Technological University]] - the Waterford campus of the university is located in the city.
